You guys think it would be ok if I didn't protect my head for a week or two? I really want to get the top part of my dome to match my face.

I wouldn't do that bro......of course it all depends on how long you are going to be in the sun each day....I would recommend going out for a half hour to hour each day without the sun screen and then apply it after that....do that for a couple weeks and you shoud be good to go....you don't want a sun burn on the noggin....not a good idea......good luck !!

DO NOT GO OUT INTO THAT FLORIDA SUN UNPROTECTED!!!
Dog, you probably just need to start staying out in the sun for longer periods of time (with sunscreen). According to most of your post you venture out for only 30 minutes at a time. But no matter what you do.

I lived in the south until I was 37. I was foolhardy and have the sun damage on my forehead to prove it. Use at least SPF 15 for short times in the sun. If you're going to be out for hours at least SPF 30.

See that white spot on the back of my head? That's the place where a skin cancer was removed, and I had some hair left when I got it. Put on the sunscreen and let the skin darken slowly and NOT TOO MUCH.

Hey, I can tell you that I live in south florida and use sun block everyday! A few years back I was working out in the sun everyday and had a chemist create me a personal sun block for my bald likes. I named it cue shield its a 55spf and it blocks 90 percent of the uva rays and allows your cue to tan at a steady pace. I am getting soon launching my new website with a few sun friendly products but you can check out cue shield here.
www.cueshield.com I will be the first to tell you that sunblock will save your life and if you are not into buying online than get to your cvs and get a 80 proof and put it on when you wake up and make sure it is your daily routine. Sly bald guys is a very resourseful place so just continue to be Bald and proud. Brian

Be proud if you were cripled and homeless. Its a state of mind! Its only in your head so get over it and if you want to sport a wig get one of those cool rasta hats with the dreads. haha but on the serious tip "walk alone"
