A few of my personal faves:

Paul Hardcastle-
Murray Head-
Big Country-
The Church-
Shriekback-
World Party-

and this is gonna get WAY too long if I try to post videos from all of 'em...  :( But I was also into A Flock of Seagulls, Cindi Lauper, Accept, Twisted Sister, and just a LOT of other music. Good lords I'm a geek.

Hard Rock throughout the 80's (still am), though in the late 80's (post college) I was getting into jazz.

As I've posted in other musical threads, a band I truly love is The Rippingtons. The attached is a "video" for the song Los Cabos (hard to call it a video since it's just a still shot of the Arches in Los Cabos). This song is one of my favorite by the Ripps from the 1987 alubm Kilimanjaro. FYI, for all you geography snobs, please....I'm aware Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania.

I liked the 80's
Bikes, beer, R&B (when that stood for Rythm and Blues)
Slightly marred by Beelzebub's little sister (my first wife).

This song:

I watched Footloose on TV last week - that took me back a bit as well.

My favorite song of the '80's was "No Way Out" by Letchen Grey
