Hey Guys,
I have been following the advice of personal finance gurus for over 10 years and I have to tell you it does work.
Has anyone else been following people like Dave Ramsey or David Bach when it comes to investing and saving.
Dave Ramsey...yes....
How'bout Ron Blue and the late Larry Burkette?
I have only heard of Larry Burkett from listening to Dave. I have never heard of Ron Blue, I have to check him out.
Thanks.
David Bach and Dave Ramsey are two gurus I trust the most. There is a lot of bad advice out there. At his point, I know enough to know what works for me and what doesen't.
Dave Ramsey has good, straight-forward, common sense advice. It really isn't rocket science that you shouldn't spend more than you make. But it took Dave Ramsey to remind us of that.
The problem I have with a lot of the so called financial "advice" is that it's pretty simple rehashed and relabeled basic knowledge.
Find a new title, a new scheme and new labels for old ideas and people will lap it up. They want to get rich quick, but not actually save more than they spend or give up some of their unchecked consumer lifestyle.
Stuff like Trump and Rich Dad, Poor Dad are just the same crap over and over and again. Trump's books and seminars are just horrible drivel.
All that being said from the looks of it, Ramsey seems to be the real deal and not a "magic bean" approach.
