Here is what I found out from talking to someone in the blade business. The Save A Blade basically "strops" the blade, which is what a barber used to do with his razor before shaving you. (For us oldies who remember back then). There are two big issues here, first is that the stropping takes off the coating from the blades leaving a bare metal surface, even though it removes the burs which is what dulls the blade. The second is that it only removes this from one side of the blade, meaning there are burs on the back side.While this sounds great, it could really be problematic for the users. If it was in a store, I'd buy it. I'm not buying anything off of television infomercials again after Time Life tried to send a bunch of country cds that I didn't order.
