hello fellow chrome domes: just wondering with the warm weather here... when was the last time U went fishing? do U like 2 fish? i'll start: i have not went fishing since july 4th weekend of 2007. i enjoyed it. i went fishing with a good childhood buddy who now lives in houston. anyways... we didn't catch much but i enjoyed the "fellowship" and the ice cold beers that we had in our coolers. fishing 4 me is more of a stress relief activity.
so... how 'bout U? when was the last time U went fishing... don't U agree that it is a gr8 way 2 just relax and "chill"?
anyways... what's your story?

I was just talking about this with a friend last Wednesday. I think the last time I went fishing was when my older son was 10 years old... he's now 23............

The last time I can remember fishing was when I was around 10-12 years old, I was visiting my uncles cottage with my family, and my dad and I went out on the lake to fish. It was great, I don't know why I haven't gone again.

Great topic Warhawk, as usual.
The last time that I went fishing was 2 months ago at my best friends Stag weekend party. We went fishing in this little river near the resort we stayed at and caught jack-sh*t. We used about 10 differnt types of bait/lures and got only a few bites but out of 10 guys fishing, not 1 person reeled anything in.
All my life I have always had bad luck when it comes to fishing. The only success that I seem to have is when I go spearfishing. -

I haven't been since I was around 10 years old. I really miss it too. I can't even think of why I haven't made myself go to be honest. Just one of those things that has faded out. But now that I have a son I know I'm going to be getting back into it down the road to do some bonding.

Wow I cant believe you all haventbeen fishing since your childhood. Last time I went fishing was late last fall. I enjoy fishing, not the best skilled fisherman here...but soemtimes I just enjoy dropping my line in...and just sitting there. If I catch one..fine..if not....oh well, good quality alone time with nature. But those days are limited....my son and youngest daughter have started going with me. Annie's bday is in about 2 weeks and she has informed us that she wants a Barbie Fishing pole...for some reason...Barbie and fishing just doesnt work well in teh same sentence.

Went fishing this past Saturday.
This best part of the day was eating the "fresh" fried fish. Delish!
Annie's bday is in about 2 weeks and she has informed us that she wants a Barbie Fishing pole...for some reason...Barbie and fishing just doesnt work well in the same sentence.
Can't believe there's a Barbie fishing pole?

You just had to go and look it up didnt ya. I was hoping to tell Annie that they dont make them anymore, but, Grandma is buying it for her. I go the UHHUH..They still make them because grammie found one at walmart and she is buying it for me. I can see it now...somewhere Im gonna get caught in a camera shot, untangling a fishing line out of a tree, attached to a Barbie Pole...lol -

This past winter I went ice fishing. Friggin cold, but didn't have to worry about the beer getting warm
I've posted this earlier, but I'm going on a week long fishing trip in in June and can't wait.

I guess it was about a year ago while camping.
I actually was brushing up on some fishing this weekend, I am planning on hitting the fishing pier downtown and try to snag a ling cod or salmon...
I was drug all over Northern Ca as a kid fishing. My father is an avid fisherman and later tournament bass fisherman... (sitting in the sun all day and all I had was a sandwich and a soda... Dad had a whole damn 12 pack of beer
)
He also used to take me on charter trips him and his buddies would set up, I really dug that. I love saltwater fishing and river fishing (I am also hoping to take up fly fishing someday soon) but lake fishing is kinda boring and usually only yields small trout. -

Well Herronm...I guess you could come here, I will teach you how to sit in a lawn chair....along the bank of a river or a lake, hold a beer and to cast your line out. Whether or not we catch anything is a different story. I just enjoy sitting there....fish or not. Its just nice to sit with nature.

Don't feel bad man. Like I said, I haven't fished in about 20 years and actually only did it a few times then.
