I think you'll look younger and way more cool if you'd shave your hair all the way, but it may be my adversity to (my own) MPB peaking.
But seriously, I bet your face lends itself to the chrome style very well, since I think your face will not look more aggresive because of it.

I echo what most of the other guys have said. See if she will at least give it a chance. IMHO you can't judge it exactly on an individual until you see it.

Thanks SBG and PigPen and all the rest of you guys. She knows I'm serious about it and you are right, she may grow to like it once it's there (or not there, however you want to look at it). You never know until you try. Personally, I can't wait.

Yeah some women just take some time to warm up to the idea. Just like Brother Agassi said "go for it, shave it."

Thanks for the kind words....I'm not sure if the wife is on board with it or not. She's an extremely stubborn woman and will likely never admit it looks good. Although, she doesn't bad mouth it either. She has heard numerous comments from people that say it looks great on me. Of course, her response is always "Well, what do you expect them to say?". If they were true friends, they'd tell me it looks like crap.
Bottom line; I like the look, my scalp has never felt healthier, and I think I do look significantly younger.

Can't please them all. I just find it funny that your wife would say that, because I have a sneaking suspicion if she decided to make a drastic hair change she would put you in the doghouse for saying the line you posted above.
At least you like it though, that's really all that matters.

My wife is on board for my initial head shaving since it's for a children's cancer charity. Tough to argue against that. But I'm betting she will want me to grow it back toot sweet.
Depending how I look and if she is cool with it I'd entertain the idea of keeping it shaved through the summer months.

Mine wasnt at first.....when I first shaved...and I am sure you all know the experience, the back of me head was a little "mangled"
SO...the next time I had to, I asked her to help out...to which she dreadfully agreed.
Now...she is the one telling me...."Geeze, you gotta shave that thing"...or "Okay, were shaving you tonight"
They'll get used to it.
You could also tell her that people you work with/interact with daily like it.. but she'll come around eventually.
Bronco...big
for doing that for Children's Cancer!!!! My wife and I have been heavily involved with the ACS and specifically the "Relay for Life". Good Man!

So far, I haven't gouged the back of my head (I think that's where the Head Blade design excels...flipping it around and going against the grain). But, my lovely wife has joked and called me "Schrojak" a few times. I think she realizes the sly look is here to stay.
Hopefully she'll get used to it. If not, it'll be a long period of discontent for her.

Thanks for the kind words jasandalb. I had thought about getting a team of my friends together to shave and raise funds but I got nothing but turn downs. So I ended up an army of one.
But things are looking up I am at just about the halfway point of my fund raising goal and I have 29 days till my head is shaved bald. If any Sly guys or gals would like to donate on my noggin email me and I'll send you the link to the St. Baldrick's Foundation website. Thanks.

I don't think my wife likes mine.
But she will get used to it.
