Hello. I am new to this site. My name is Doug and I got the crazy idea to do a head shaving fund raiser for the local heart walk. My team came through and the goal was met. I am now 3 days into my 3 weeks of head shaving. I have to say that I am loving the hair free look and feel. This may last longer than three weeks....
Thanks for all of the great post. This site was very helpful with research while I was waiting for the goal to be met.

GOOD GOING BRO! one more week and you can decide if you wanna keep it that way or not. We usually suggest the 4 week rule. I dont think I have ever thought about growing it back...or thinking that it is temporary....I think it is this way for the long haul.
What ever you do bro...do it cause it makes you happy....bald or not.....good luck

I know what you mean. I shaved yesterday and I am already thinking it is getting a little scratchy.

Welcome BalDoug, what a great way to become sly. Congratulations on reaching your goal. Warning however, I became sly the same way and it is 11 months today. You may never again want to be anything but sly

Doug, Welcome to the SBG site, glad you're enjoying the "smooth" dome.
Like Hierophant said, it is addicting. I just shaved after three days, the longest I've went yet, but only due to a little too much sun this weekend. I'm happily back to smooth.
I think you'll end up feeling similar.
Enjoy the forum, and post up when you can!

Welcome Doug, I'm betting that you'll love it as much as all the rest of us here do. But in the mean time, just hang around and have some fun with us. And yes, it really is addictive.. I think you'll find that out.

HAHA....to be honest I've always wondered what I'd look like with a slick head. The Heart Walk was a means to that end AND it help raise a lot of money for the AHA.

How long does it typically take for the scalp skin's tone to match the rest of my body?

I think it depends on your skin, but you should start to notice a diffence within about a week.
