Simple pleasures

A simple pleasure most of us have had. So you pick up a cold/bug that makes you a little miserable for 3 or 4 days and it's cold and cloudy outside, and you don't feel like shaving your head. The stubble is just annoying. Finally you feel better and take a nice steamy shower, mix up some warm soap and swish the brush around your head. Run that razor around until your head is nice and smooth. Ahh, now that is a,simple pleasure. Looking and feeling good!

My initial reaction was 'too true' and then I saw Cave Dweller had beaten me to it.

I know the felling all too well, I've got the 'crud' right now and counting down the days until a nice hot shower shave!

Yep. There's nothing more satisfying than a hot shower and a shave.

Even without getting over a cold, I find such satisfaction in the smooth, slick, sly surface of my freshly-shaved head when I'm rinsing the shaving creme off.
Feels like... victory.

Usually when i get sick, i feel much better in the mornings and then get more and more miserable as the day goes on, until finslly about mid afternoon im so achy i dont even want to get up to go pee or whatever. But anyway tmi aside, because of how mornings are usually fairly easy on me during a illness, i force myself to shower following my normal routine as closely as i can before it starts getting bad again. So thats a simple pleasure i tend to deny myself unless the illness is too severe to want to do anymore in those forced morning showers than let the water run over me. Granted i havent been sick since going sly, but since i have been shaving everything below the neck for several years, i can still relate
