It seems that most posters are sly(where did that word come from anyway,I googled it and no definition),I just went to a no guard buzz cut.Is there anyone else out there who just has a short buzz cut?I'm not ready for sly yet and don't plan on it anytime soon but I do love my new buzz. It's close to sly but not quite.I like the feel and look of it and have had mostly good reaction to it.

I buzzed my head #1 fr a year before removing the guard for a few months, then got the razor out. Never have done back to the buzz.
I like sly best.
There are a few guys here with buzz cuts, but most often within a year they end up SLY and wonder why they waited.
Welcome.

Years ago starting in college kept very short buzz. Love it. Eventually went to shaving.

I did the 00 buzz cut for almost 2 years. Loved being practically bald. Then I took the plunge and tried shaving my head with the headblade for the pure hell of it. Loved it even more and never looked back! The look is very similar but theres nothing that feels better then a freshly shaved dome!

I agree with the above statement.

If you like the short buzz, stick with it. After all, it's your head and your choice.

If you're more comfortable buzzing, then great. But if you get the itch to shave, indulge it. You never know...you might unleash your inner smooth man!

I was buzzing with no guard for a couple years. I used the clippers once a week. When I finally shaved completely bald with a razor, hardly anyone noticed. I don't know what I think I looked liked when I was using the clippers, but when I look at pictures of me with the buzzed cut, I did look pretty bald then, Too!
So for me there wasn't much of a difference by sight - just feel.

I vary from a #1 buzz to clipper shaved from #000 through #00000. I buzz weekly. Yesterday, I gave myself a #00000. it really looks shaved. I occasionally razor shave...longest was 6 days...usually while on vacation.

While I was in hospital following surgery recently I, not meaning to, grew a crew cut. Interesting to see, after 15 years of shaving my head, how much hair is really left. As it's silver and white, I'm going to give it another week then have a barber clipper it and, when I get bored with that, back to razor shaving it. However, I am going to keep the goatee that sprouted at the same time....

I've always used clippers. Tried shaving a couple times, but couldn't quite get it down. I have really sensitive skin. And anyway, I prefer to have the stubble. In any case, it doesn't bother me that people can tell I have male pattern baldness.

I used the Wahl balding trimmer for a couple of weeks.Tore my scalp up . I'm letting it grow now and then will use the 1/16" guard .I just couldn't get the back of my head without some cuts and irritation.
