• If you could give advice to a person who's significant other is balding, what advice would you give them?

• Don't make them feel like they are less loved / less attractive because of it.
  
  Discourage use of Rogaine and/or other drugs, toupees,  transplants, Hairclub for men, etc.
  
  If the balding person is moving toward shorter and shorter haircuts, or even shaving; be supportive.  Let the person know that he is the one to decide how he wants to look to the world.  Lovingly support whatever decision the person makes (short of the absolutely ridiculous ! )

• Boy, John covered that pretty well.   I would add to that list the fact that if the person is NOT already going to shorter cuts that they should encourage it, emphasizing the attractive/youthful factor and the confidence that will come with it.

  As most of you know, the lovely Mrs. Schro hated my shaved head. She doesn't hate the sly look, just doesn't think it looks all that good on me (I do have a big dome). When I did shave it on New Year's 2007, I did it for many reasons (scalp condition and MPB being the top 2 reasons). She said she'd try and get used to it. After 7 months, she said she just can't get behind the sly look (on me). It's funny, she told me a lot of her friends that initially told me they liked it actually told Tammi that it looks bad on me (hence my honesty comment).
  
  I told her as a compromise, I'd grow it, but keep it short (#1 buzz), but if the scalp condition returned to an unbearable level that I would shave it. I got 100% relief form the sebhorric dermititus as a result of shaving my head.
  
  I gotta be honest, I do think that the look of a #1 cut looks better on me than a sly look. Sorry to make such a statement, but (as usual), my wife is right and I am wrong. Like I said, I was looking for Mrs. Right when I was single. Too bad her first name was "Always".
