You can use sunscreen, because your head will sunburn, or if you want alot of protection, use a dew rag or hat. That's just a suggestion, and that is a good picture!

i can't express my love of the traditional cattlemens creased cowboy hat with a 4 inch brim to not only protect our slick shaved heads but also the nosen cheeks, and top of ears. i was stationd at fort huachuca, AZ for many years and almost all the cases of skin cancer i saw were on the ears, nose, and cheeks. Most of the cases i saw were career dept of Army civilians who worked in the field doing equipment and systems testing and dev. Most told me they never cared about covering up when they were younger and wound up paying the price. i'm a cop in TX and I go through tubes of sunscreen. i think i did ok when i was younger but now wish i would have paid more attention(same thing with hearing protection when i was on the farm....)

i'll second that. i have a couple of these...one straw Atwood (a plam leaf Hereford Low Crown) and one straw Stetson (cattleman's crease George Strait). Much better protection than a ballcap out in the blazing sun. Only problem is they're loose on my head now that it's buzzed down.
