Thursday morning, 22nd August 2013, SOTD
today was the first time I've used this razor, one of a bunch of injectors I picked up a month or so back and finally got round to cleaning last weekend.
Injector L1 type
Schick blade
Omega boar brush
Musgo Real shaving cream.
Dessert was just a coating of Feather Kanwa ASB.
A wonderful shave and now I'm ready to face the day! (apologies for the upside down pic, but after the new Tapatalk update I can't upload pics so had to use the computer, which then said the picture was too big etc....)

Blu - how is Musgo? I'm lookin for some more creams to pair with my Proraso Green. I am looking for equally good if not better products.
Happy belated once again Mel.
Tonight was another excellent shave. Used Mel's Weber PH with zero irritation BBS. Great razor. Used a Feather (2) that felt dull towards the end so popped in a fresh Polsilver. Went outside for a smoke and saw my dads neckline needed a trim so I went ahead and cleaned it up with my freshly whipped up MWF and my first restore TGN finest 22/52.
Great head and face shave. I am LOVING my Clubman Talc after WH and AS has dried. It's truly a cherry on top. Leaves me feeling super refreshed, and my head dry and soft.

The Musgo is as good a cream as I've used. Very old barber shop style scent.
The picture I've hopefully managed to show was taken after two passes, and there was still plenty left!

Friday evening, 23rd Aug 2013.
I dug out my Parker SRB razor, which I'd only bought for travel, and used it yesterday and today. I'd forgotten how much fun these are to use (once you get used to them), as it was my first time using one in 18 months or so.
Blade was Astra.
Musgo real classic scent.
Semogue brush.
Witch hazel and kanwa ASB.
Lovely.

My first posting of my SOTD.
Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol soap. The black salsa bowl is what I use to store all (12) hard soaps in
Brush: Homemade handle with a 22mm Best Badger Short Loft knot from The Golden Nib. Loft is 49mm
A Robert Becker scuttle. (Robertsfeatsofclay).
HeadBlade Sport H4 blade for my head.
Merkur 39C Slant with Astra SP blade.
RazoRock alum stick.
Pinaud Lilac Vegetal aftershave.
I did not show a picture because the whole frame would have been taken up with the masses of thick, rich foam that it produces.

Ah, you're using the Veg! An aftershave of near mythical status!!
I've never tried it myself, although I did receive a sample with something else I bought, can't remember what though!
Nice pic and description there btw!

@warhawk That's a beautiful looking razor!
Did you read about the Cobra rival which will use the same kind of blades?

Mostly, my normal stuff. Pre was a hot shower, with Shave Secret applied directly to my skin in a couple of problem areas. Then my Merkur, with an Astra Gold blade. First shave with the Arko Extra Sensitive. I have to admit to not being that impressed. I took a lot more product than I expected, and it doesn't play well with Shave Secret. I didn't think it was nearly as slick as even the Col Conks that I've been using. I'll give it a few more shaves before I decide to order more or not.
Post shave was cold water rinse, ice cube rub, and refrigerated witch hazel, all for face and head.

Jedge, I don't find creams work well over oils. I would try without shave secret. I have one Arko cream and for me it's as good as any other cream I've tried in terms of performance.

Hey Bluebriz: Hi Brian... yes I have heard about the new and upcoming SE razor that will be rivaling the Cobra. It is made in the good ole USA (California). I have heard that it will be a stainless steel SE razor and it will be accepting the same blades as the CC. Phil from BullGoose Shaving will be announcing the news and it's debut soon. I believe sometime this week.
The new iKON slant is a thing of beauty. The 3 piece design by iKON allows it to use different handles. So far... I am loving the shaves. Slightly better than the 37C only because of the increased heft. I STILL love my 37C and 37G.
