How much hair have you lost?

In the six months that I have been on this great forum, I've enjoyed the various bald/balding stories and meeting lots of cool people...that said, we know what we look like sly, but I was just wondering, how much hair (if any) did you lose prior to doing the deed? Thanks, as always, for sharing! BTW, in my case, my forehead got bigger starting at 28, and shortly after going sly permanently at 35, the crown started thinning...now that I'm almost 40, the horseshoe is starting to show as you can see from the picture below taken in early April after my last surgery.

Went sly 4 months ago (Feb 2012).
Looking at that Norwood Scale, since then, think I have gone from a 3 to a 4.

Let's just say that when I was in my 20's, some of dad's co-workers upon first meeting me, thought I was his younger mpb brother. Before GPS, seagulls used my head as a point of reference.

Receding hairline... Hair loss at the crown. Looked like I had a permanent part going on at the top!

I'm about a Norwood II, but it's been that way since I was a boy, so I don't consider that MPB.

My hairline is receding but still decent, my crown on the other hand is quite thin. It doesn't show much with a #1 buzz or less but anything more than a #2 buzz and its pretty obviously balding. My dad was the same way at my age, and was a norwood 7 by age 28. I'm gonna be one of those fast balders! One of my favorite things about not having hair now is not having to deal with the actual, physical loss of hair i.e. the shower, pillows. The other young baldies know what I'm talking about!

Where would I fall on the Norwood Scale? I don't think I'm a 6 or 7 but any input is greatly appreciated. Photos attached. Thanks again, and keep coming with your hairloss stories!

As for myself, I am a "fuzzy" Norwood 5 to 6. I started to shave my head when I was a Norwood 3. As for yourself, you kind of look like you are at a Norwood 4. But here is the link to the post where I asked the same question about myself. Plus you can see the Norwood Scale on there!

Started out at a less severe Norwood 5A around 21-22. Still at a 5A at 26 but more pronounced at the fringe. Expecting to be Norwood 6 with age.

Thanks, Marsh! Prior to going permanently sly in April 2008, I guess I was a 2 on the scale....I would shave my head for two week military maneuvers, but kept "low bald fades" or "high and tights" otherwise....When I went sly for good, I probably was 2 heading into 3 because my crown was still intact save for the cranial gash which has since been surgically repaired. I was 35 when I went sly for good, and I'm 39 nearing 40 now, so I guess four years and change is enough time to lose some more! 4 for me sounds about right....My grandfather was a 3 vertex, but his father was a 6...I guess I'll fall somewhere in between when all is said and done!
