@Waine - no worries
@Natedawg - I do get my moments of crazy and talk to myself but this one is not one of them...hehehe
@aeth - I can see you have dark hair, that causes the hairline/shadow that bothers you. I have dark hair and even if I shave really smooth, I still have the shadow, I have learned to live with it. What is important is the feeling of smoothness.

Agreed. I know that some men here have worried about having a permanent 5 o clock shadow of sorts showing their receding hairline. There's nothing that can really be done about that, but in my personal opinion, it
still looks much better that way than actually growing it out.

You look great bro, it makes you look younger. I don't know why some people prefer keeping the horseshoe ...

Now's a good time to resume the 30 day rule!
Stick with it solid for 30 days. It becomes a habit. You won't have to start all over again.

Thanks for the re-encouragement everyone! I'm happy being sly, I'm however still strugling a bit to make it a 'part of me'.. right now I'm 'former me' but bald - opposed to being ' new me' and bald is a part of that identity.
Don't know if that makes any sense though

aeth ... makes total sense.
I don't know what you looked like before, but I think the sly look works. Particularly for you (I looked at the picture from a few weeks ago) it's distinctive and I think it will increase your confidence as you become more comfortable with it.
What are you concerned about? What is preventing 'sly' from truly being who you are?
I'm surprised you've not received a lot of positive compliments ... yet. They'll come.

Congrats on the 30 days (I'm 3 days away) and I echo what several others have said ... sly looks GREAT on you (and yes, you do have a bit of the Kelly Slater look). I have the visible hairline as well, even though I have light hair. Getting an overall same color on my head helped (tanned now that it is summer). I also discovered two things recently ... 1) using a pre-shave oil gets a much closer shave, and 2) I go AGAINST the grain first and then with the grain on the second pass. That has helped reduce the visible hairline even more. I use the HB (with a Fusion for around my ears ... easier to maneuver). Good luck ... keep the look, it suits you well.

You are doing and looking great! Having these emotions is normal. You just did not realize true happiness can be so simple !
