Well....... I'm not into Hip-Hop at all and I've never even heard of any of those guys you mentioned!!!!!
I like a bit of classic rock, some of the new more alternative non-commercial stuff...... and most of all blues. I just love blues..... plain and simple..... to me it's the best.

Hmmm, I thought this was going to be about music, and then hip-hop gets mentioned.
Classic rock, for me.

I've always listened to classic rock like Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rolling Stones, etc., etc. I seem to be gravitating toward more metal (heavy & thrash) and alternative as I get older: Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Godsmack, Seether.

Dude! Does that guy wanna make you quit or what?
As soon as I feel like I'm cleaning up my chops I listen to Weckl and make a big "L" on my forehead....
It's a love/hate thing listening to Weckl!!!

If any of you are fans of good ol' roadhouse style blues guitar give a listen to Johnny Winter. I didn't like him when he teamed up with his brother, Edgar, back around '80 because they tried to go more mainstream and they sounded just like everybody else at that point. A couple of his joints like "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl" and "Meantown Blues" can really get a person to rockin'. He also had Rick Derringer playing with him for a while and they way the two of them would square off riffin' was magic. Check out "Johnny Winter And" which is live on one side (great) and studio on the back (good but not great). He's one of my favorites for road trips.
Metal for working out, also some punk like Sick of it All's "Death to Tyrants.

I have fairly eclectic tastes in music, but I do favor 80s music and a capella and show tunes.
What I don't like is the old-school country music (the "big hair" era and earlier), or rap music (the early rap of the 80s was ok and had merit, but the newer stuff seems little more than rhythmic swearing, porn and violence...

Mainly metal - all time fave is Rush, also into the Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies, as of late. KISS, and most of the 70's hair bands. Stevie Ray Vaughan, Skynyrd, .38 Special, Molly Hatchet. Also, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Pretty much anything with a driving beat and outrageous guitar work. I even have a few country songs in my collection, but I am very picky about that. Also very much love the Motown sound...just about anything in that era. So... anything from the 60's to today, except grunge rock. No "Hip hop" or rap for me.
