Nicks and cuts

After I got to work this morning, I rubbed my hand across my normally smooth head. When I did that I accidentally dislodged a scab that I didn't know I had. When that happened, I just started bleeding and it seemed that no amount of daubing it would help. Any suggestions as to what to do. Eventually it did stop, but it was a bother!

As with any cut (not a deep gushing one though), hold pressure on it for a few minutes... that should help stop the bleeding!

And if you're still having trouble, sometimes adding ice to that pressure will help.

direct pressure usually takes care of it but it is always a good idea to have some Styptic powder.

Direct pressure on little cuts, and/or a good stypric pencil will work well to stop the bleeding. I have found that the liquid bandage stuff is quite effective for them also.

Where can you get Strypric powder or pens? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find them.

hmmm...I must be blind because that's where I've looked. I guess it's time to ask for directions...

ah, the age old flaw of the male in the human species strikes again: asking others for help

I'll bet if you go to any small local pharmacy and ask they hand one to you within 90 seconds.
