And I must add, there's nothing like the feel of a razor shaved head! That's why many of us razor shave every day, feels amazing.

And type of trimmer will be limited by how close it will get.  But technically, by definition, a trimmer is not a shaver.  It will result in a tight buzz cut.  Some trimmers do cut so close that it may appear to be a head shave, unless looking closely. So most people will still think of it as a head shave.

Another consideration, if you hair is dark, and you have pale skin, the "shadow" left by a trimmer will be very pronounced.  A true razor blade head shave will result in less of a shadow.  Some electric shavers come close to a razor blade.

I'm not sure what you mean by a vacuum trimmer Rico. If it's one of those clippers with a vacuum attachment, sure, you can buzz your head, but it won't really shave you like a razor.

I've read a few glowing reviews of some devices, not the Vacutrim itself but other brands.  But few claim it would work for head shaves.  Has anyone tried this?

I love my freshly shaved and tan dome.  I mostly enjoy the shaving, but I do have my lazy days when I think it would be nice a laser was developed to get rid gray hair.

I don?t know, but a lot of people have been giving me a lot of sh*t about keeping some hair again, but I feel a bit conspicuous with the big bald spot on my crown

I often get the urge to grow my hair back, but the last few months I have been extremely happy with my shaved noggin!

It just feels absolutely amazing and I think a bald head looks awesome. I can't wait to get in the shower and run the razor over my head until it's baby butt smooth.

I recently purchased a straight razor, so I'm trying it out a little at A time. I'm starting to learn the angles.

I had an appointment this week, and the receptionist commented on how nice and tan my head is. I told her you have to have a nice tan if you're going to wear this haircut. She chuckled and agreed with me!

To be or not be...Bald / Re: First Laser Session Tuesday - Really scared!

I used numbing cream and so glad I did. Nothing happened for 2 weeks except growth slowed to a crawl. Then I started losing lots of hair right at the 2 week mark -- virtually all the top and the front part of the sides. Strangely enough even though after it fell I could still see a faint gray shadow of where the hair had been,  in the fallen patches. Maybe future sessions will even it out. There's still a lot of dark hair at the back and the back half of the sides. I shave MUCH less and have much less irritation even after one session.
Unlike my conflicted feelings before, as soon as I'd done it I was so glad. Happy I had the guts to go through with it. I didn't have any regrets when I saw it falling out, I was just excited to watch the process. It's already simplified my morning routine and feeling and looking smoother. I hope the laser can catch the fine hairs left though and take care of the traces of shadow. I'll make a post when my treatment is further advanced. Thanks again for your support everybody.
