i was at a cookout with some college buddies and i didnt wear any sunscreen on my head cuz im stubborn and have never burned my head before so i thought it couldnt happen to me. that was a HUGE mistake. my head, face, neck, and shoulders are tomato red and im in PAIN! lol. does anyone know how long sunburn on your head lasts? i think im just gonna wear a hat for awhile till it heals to prevent further burning. plus.......the peeling isnt too attractive looking lol.

hey ghost: now... i know that U will never ever break the rule anymore.

just make sure U buy some aloe vera gel (apply it 2 the tomato-colored regions of dome

) & place it in the fridge. this will help in the recovery.

Red means business. I have yet to burn my head, and don't plan on doing it anytime soon. Good luck Ghost

Shamey, shamey! Can't say we didn't warn you. Sorry bro. That's actually one of the reasons I started shaving my head. I got tired of smearing sunscreen into my hair to cover the thinning areas so I wouldn't burn. Take care of that head, and get some decent sun screen.

Next time, if you didn't learn your lesson, the day you get a sunburn, fill a cup with about 50% vinegar/50% water. Take a rag/bandanna and wet it with the solution and place on the burn for a while (not sure how long, I leave it on a while, rewet, then do it again).
Not scientific, but seems to help. I get a burn every year, and this takes the pain out, and seems to help it heal up faster.
Straight vinegar stings like a beech!

OK Ghost.... That's your gimme...... no more now.............
About three or four days in the burn should be gone and you'll be in full peel mode. That's the time for the apricot scrub.... it will remove the dead skin..........
