I`M still getting a nice smooth shave.I started using olive oil under my shaving gel.DAMN, I`m really happy with the feel of my dome. I have no need for moisturizer anymore.I`M getting a nice shave and I`M saving some money.

good stuff tank.
just a question, if one has sensitive skin, does olive oil make you more prone to breaking out?

Ive use olive oil with the Headslick for a long time and it works well. Olive oil also works well regular bar soap in a pinch.

I met a patient one day and had to verify her birthday per hospital policy (don't want to do the wrong thing on the wrong patient you know). her birthday indicated that she was 86 - she didn't look over 65 I swear it! I asked her again to verify her birthday.
I complimented her on how wonderful she looked. She said that she rubbed olive oil on her face every night before bed. That stuff is amazing.

Ok I am tired of this. I need to try some.

So hold on, are you saying after you are done shaving you throw your razor blade in olive oil until the next time you shave?
And then you are also saying you put olive oil on your head? How long does it take to clean it up?

Yes I keep my razors in a bowl of olive oil at all times. I have a small bottle of olive oil that I use to rub on my head.
Damn, I'm getting so excited here..............ok I think I will try leaving my razors in olive oil. I don't think I can put any oilve oil on my scalp yet though. But ok do you have to cover the bowl or not? One more question. How long did your blades last you before and how long now? Specifics would be great.
Thanks so much Tank. It's really appreciated.

I don`t cover the bowl. I`M going on 2months on the same blade.I would only get a week out of a blade before. You will notice right away how the blade glides of your dome.

No wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! So one week became 2 months. This could save me lots of money. I can only keep my Mach 3 blade for a max of 4 shaves before feeling that I need to change it. If I can keep each blade for 8 shaves for example, that would be

This makes sense because I started using Shaving Oil on my face before the shave gel I use and it gave a much smoother closer shave with less razor drag.
BTW.. I use "The King Of Shaves" English shaving gel and it's the best shave I have ever had.

I think I read some where that olive oil has a sh!t ton of vitamin Q10 in it, even more so than the expensive cremes.
Coco Chanel (the lady who the perfume is named after) is well known to to bathe in olive oil too I believe.

I started keeping my razors in olive oil this week. The blade really glides over the dome but the oil and stubble makes a hell of a mess in the sink!

Yeah I realize that too.
But hey if it's going to save me money I will do it.

If it will allow me to keep a blade for 10 shaves for example (now I can only get 4 shaves per blade) then I will
keep the blade in olive oil. However, if it will only increase to 6 shaves per blade then forget it.
Anybody else trying this olive oil thing?

Come on, I know you all want to save money.

That is the down side.I just wipe the sink down with a cleaning pad when I`M done.It takes about 1 min. It`s worth it for me.I`M getting a good shave and my fusions are lasting alot longer.
