OK, I have to tease here, just a little bit - a guy on a CCW (Carrying a Concealed Weapon) forum I belong to refers to Glocks as "Combat Tupperware."

Honestly, I have nothing against Glocks, even though I don't own one. Just stirring the pot a little, and very friendly like.
Good choice in the 10mm! If I had to shoot something other than a .45, It'd be a 10mm!
I'm a 1911 kind of guy and have a couple SIGs. Until last week I didn't own a Glock but a friend traded me his G-36. Oh well, the Dark Side has it's ways and it is a .45!

Glocks are a smart choice. Even died in the wool 1911 guys like Sgt. Pate eventually see the light.

For defensive purposes, .40 or .45 are a good choice. Both are
relatively easy to obtain. 10mm can be pretty hard to locate. Something to consider for your emergency/survival planning.
Any SBG in SoCal or traveling to SoCal who wants to become a better Glockmeister is welcome to attend a Defensive Handgun class that I teach. Glocks are supplied to students for use in these classes. No matter your level of expertise, you WILL leave this class a better shooter.
The company I contract with charges a goodly amount for these classes, so
send me a PM first, and I'll make sure you get a special SBG discount for the class. More info here:
