I'm 16 and I have shaggy hair. I want to shave it bald, but I'm scared of what the girls will think. Do teenage girls like bald heads?
Thanks I need some confidence!

Being sly is pretty cool these days. I think ultimately the way you carry yourself, the way you feel about
you is what is most important. As for girls liking you, the
right girls will like you regardless of how you keep (or not) your hair.

Nice one bro have some superiority points

As for you gmac do whatever you feel is best but expect alot of questions and comments, given your age and the fact you have long hair. It'll be a drastic change. Personally i think if you're 16 and have a full head of shaggy hair i say keep it, there's plenty of time to go down the head shaving route, plus it'll take you ages to grow it back if you dont like it.

I would have to agree with Tank first. As for the rest it all depends on you. First realize that it will be a big change from the way you look now. When I shaved my head I had shoulder length hair so when others saw me for the first time their first natural reaction was shock. As for the girls will they like it I don't know. Some might, some might not. But if you are only doing it to get the attention of one or more girls then don't do it. It's not worth it and you may not like it. Sure it will grow back but you will have to live with a bad decision for a long time while it does. So if you want the girls just be yourself and you will get them.

Definetly talk to your parents first. Tell them why you want to do it.
That being said, there will always be those that love the bald head and those that don't ...... regardless of the age group.
And Welcome to the Forum!!!

I was 16 when I first razor'ed my head...my parents were totally confused...I think they thought there was something "wrong" inside of me. I would definitely at least let them know youre going to do it!

I would talk it over with your parents first at your age. If you don't like your hair a short crew cut might be a good option for someone your age and would not cause as much of an uproar. I see lots of teens with crew cuts.

I agree with alot of the others, talk it over with your parents before you do anything. If they say no, then go for the flattop, it's an awesome look and not too popular right now, from where I'm at anyway, and you'll stand heads above the crowd. Good luck!

16 seems way too young, I'm 20 and shave my head, and that even seems a little young. If I were you I would wait it out.

Talk to the parents first - saves a lot of trouble later.
