Hey guys... I have the day off work and it is almost 70 degrees outside. Sounds like a great day to be outside having fun. However... I am at home sitting in a chair with my feet elevated.
You see. I went to the urologist this morning and had a vasectomy. Yes... The big "V". It just came to the point in life where we weren't planning on having any more kids and my wife was having some problems with meds that she was taking.
It was really pretty painless. Now I am just trying to take it easy to make sure the recovery goes well.
If any other guys have been through this and have any advice, let me know. I'd like to know what your stories are.

Considering the "area in question" I hope you have a speedy recovery. I need to have it done myself. Wife and I have been pretty darn fortunate that we have not had an unplanned pregnancy.

There really isn't much to it and it is pretty cheap insurance. And a bonus is you can milk it and be waited on for a couple of days by the wife.

I really haven't had any pain. I took some tylenol when I got home. The doc game me a prescription for some pain meds but I haven't needed them. He said to keep my feet up today. I can do light activity tomorrow and just take it easy for the next week.

Actually I have been using frozen vegables. It works better than an ice pack. lol
Just don't come to our house for Stir Fry any time soon. lol

Take it easy, keep the ice on and enjoy a little TV. Had mine done on a Friday and was back at work the following Monday. You'll be fine I'm sure. Here's to a speedy recovery!

Hope the Brat & Potatoes are good to go soon, Rick.
Wait, I didn't think they had vegetables in KC...Oh yeah, frozen.

I had mine 5 years ago. Was back at work on Monday. A little sore but no real pain.
Frozen peas are perfect, they act like a frozen bean bag kind of. Be careful getting up and down from a sitting position. When things shift with gravity, you will definitely know they are there. My wife waited on me for the weekend. She was the best.
Also, not to get to much info here, but boxers and vasectomies don't really get along to well. If you don't have any traditional "tighty whities" get a couple of pair. You'll be fine in a couple of days.
