• Hi Guys
  
  I only started to shave my head properly after going shorter and shorter with clippers - #3, the #2, then #1, then #0 and last but not least the Wahl Baldfader that cuts o about 0.2mm.  Even though I was quite happy with the WBF after I tried a real shave, nice and smooth and close, I found the difference in both look and feel remarkable.  I would never go back to clippers.  Do other slyguys feel the same way?

• Yep!  While clipper shaving is a great step for those that don't want to go all the way to the skin right away, it doesn't beat the smooth shave.

• Ok I still have memories of August 24, 2008 (which was my birthday!!).   That was the first day I shaved.  Well I first used clippers to make it short to a #1 and at that time I really didn't like what I saw.  I was thinking ok is this how I will look with a shaved head?  If that were true I would probably be tempted to grow back my hair because  oh God it was terrible lol.  But then I shaved it with Mach 3 going only with the grain and I liked what I saw.
  Man you talk about having a great birthday present.  Nothing beats a first shaved head on your birthday.

• Shaved is best...... as Tyler said..... clippers are a tool to reach the ultimate goal............

• No, it's a tie for me. I really like the short clipped look and feel especially when the stubble on my face matches the stubble on my head. Hard to do since my facial hair grows so much faster. When i shave, I like to shave my face too with the exception of the goatee that comes and goes.

• For me it's skin.  I had it at a #1 for 4 days before I finished it up.  Only once since have I let it go more than one day--and all these are less than five times total.  Clean and clear sets up my day .

• Done both... the shave is the way to go!  Don't like the velvet!
