I enjoy putting up vapour barrier, drywall and painting and putting down hardwood floors. There is something really satisfying about swinging a mallet and using the floor gun.
Was your floor nailer pneumatic? I used one that was manual, and that was awful. I had to swing the mallet HARD and square on the plunger or the nail wouldn't go in all the way. After about 1200 nails I gave up and used my finish nailer for the closet (I don't care if the floor in there squeaks, and it was a tight space anyway with no room to swing). My arm hurt for a week.
Click-lock flooring sounds better and bettter. Except for the bathroom tile I'm done with flooring on this house.
Pneumatic but you still had to hit it with a big mother effin' mallet, I enjoyed that part though. No pain no gain

We put unfinished flooring through the house then sanded it twice, finished it, sanded it one more time and finished it again.
Personally I really dislike click flooring because it feels springy under your feet, and if its cheap it falls apart pretty quickly. But I have seen some really fantastic results with the bamboo click flooring.
BUT,,,,,,,,,, I can do a vasectomy in about 8 minutes;;
Where were you 5 years ago?! My experience was rather funny, if you can imagine that. That's another thread though......anybody want to start that one? LOL
My favorite DIY project is lying on the couch, working a crossword as I watch the Comedy Channel or my favorite Cable News Channel (which will remain unamed).
