We got a new team here, the Oklahoma city Thunder.. They pretty much suck, but they make us feel like a big-time city in the NBA world. Gotta support the local team.

lol give em time theyre an expansion team. its their first season in the NBA, of course theyre gonna suck. its gonna take a few years to get on track. -

Technically, it's not their first year in the NBA, they were my Seattle Sonics. But after these past few years of anguish, Oklahoma can take em. -

well ya i know. they used to be seattle but then oklahoma bought em cuz they were having attendance problems not to mention "winning some games" problems haha.

I don't think the attendence was that bad. What the problem was that Mr. Starbucks, Howard Schultz wanted Key Arena re done. It had been extensively remodeled in the 1990's and was still a great place to watch and play basketball. But Howie wanted almost a new arena. When city fathers said "no", he sold it to Clay Bennett. I believe that Clay ran the team into the ground to guarantee that the Sonics would go to OKC.
So I guess my new favorite NBA team would have to the the Portland Trailblazers. I don't have a axe to grind against Portland as I have relatives there. -

I haven't watched basketball in YEARS. Like, really watched it. I miss basketball. Next season, I'm all over it. I'll let you know who my team is then.

i used to be a Charlotte Hornets fan i use to go to all their games back in the day in middle school and high school my mom use to get season tickets from a guy she worked with who hated basketball........ but yea i got to see Jordan,Malone,Shaq,Kobe,Iverson,Carter,Mcgrady, all them dudes lol... but ever since Charlotte moved to New Orleans its never been the same for me
... Also when Jordan won the bulls last championship back in 97 against the Jazz i dont think basketball has really had any "break out" stars i mean yea theres Iverson Shaq and Carter and another few but very few have had the Impact on the game like players such as Bird,Jordan, and Magic... basketball has just changed for me and i hate it
