I am recently BBC and thinking I could stay this way for good. However, I have a full head of hair and it grows back fast. If I want that good slick feel for the evening sometimes I have to shave again before going out. Any suggestions? Is it worth it to stay BBC?

It's worth it Paul! If you dig the look and feel more comfortable with a slick dome. Keep it.

Welcome Paul. I am new to this site but not to headshaving.
I could have a, well, mostly full head of hair if I choose to. I decided to shave in 2005 and have stayed that way ever since. I love the look, the feel, the shaving, everything about being BBC really. Keep it shaved for awhile before making a decision. I normally shave once a day but will shave a second time if I am going out in the evening, no worries or problems. It is worth it, just give yourself time.

Welcome, Paul. I agree with the other Paul: keep the look for a while before deciding. The maintenance is minor, an additional ten minutes in your morning ritual. Since I started shaving only in November, 2006, I have not yet experienced the pleasure of BBC in spring and summer, when the weather is warm and our hairy friends are sweltering. I'd give it at least until the change in season. All the other factors are positive, including the responses of a wide variety of acquaintances and colleagues. And this is the era for bald guys: shaving/baldness is now mainstream but still uncommon enough to suggest self-possession and boldness. Send us a before and an after pic. All best, Professor Melon

Pig said "grounded", not "exiled". In this case, grounded is a state of mind. Exiled is state of existence, likely not by your own choice.
