Why did you give up such an awesome career?

You could have been another Chef Tom Colicchio or Duff Goldman'.
Financial Consultant here. I've been having second thoughts about this career given the current state of the economy.

hmmmm awesome career?
On feet for 12-14 hours a day, 6 days a week doesn't leave a lot of time left for the golf game... or anything else. Money isn't that impressive considering the amount of work put in. 10 years of that was enough.
That and I crushed my right hand - 2 plates, 8 screws. Makes using a knife for extended periods of time quite uncomfortable.
Chefs work hard. Really hard.

Sorry to hear about that. It's just that the current crop of shows on the TV make it appears to be such a lucrative and glamorous career. I guess it's just an illusion like everything else on the tube.

It happened during the winter and I was playing in the Spring. I just placed 2 fingers of my right hand on the club and went at it. I still think it was one of the best things that happened to my golf game. It made my dominant hand more passive which is really good for the golf swing.

I agree with Mr Cheese, I worked in a restuaraunt (spelling, sorry) for about 2 years, it was serious hard work and very stressful as well, saying that, I really did enjoy it and would do it again given the choice
