Well, it was bound to happen but why this early ??

Schools are closed today and they are predicting 8-12 inches of heavy wet snow with high winds and possiblity of widespread power outages.
Does anyone down south have rooms for rent for the winter??

Feel for ya bro. Isn't often you are shoveling the drive so kids can go Trick or Treating. In northern Illinois we had snow showers but no accumulation.

Yeah, rub it in Max....lol
Thanks Paul. We don't usually get hit this early but it does happen every now and then.
Sure seems funny to look out the window and see everything white already and the snow plows running up and down the roads.
Gotta feeling it's going to be a long winter.....

We had a good frost last night. It was noticeably cold when I went out running at 06:30 this morning.
When the sun finally rose it was a lovely looking morning though.
This afternoon, in typical British fashion, it is now a bit grey and miserable looking. We may get some cold drizzle.

No snow yet....., but those darn
lakeshore winds will be a blowing.
Winds, winds and more winds,
north, west and south!!!
Tonight the lows will be in the upper 20s (Brrrr), except in the mid 30s downtown.
west winds 10 to 15 mph. Tomorrow temps rebound in the lower 50s,
north winds 10 to 15 mph. Thursday & Friday it will be sunny and warmer. Highs in the mid 60s with
south winds blowing, 10 to 15 mph.
At least I don't have to worry about wind swept hair. Living in the windy city and trying to conceal MPB presented quite the challenge. Glad I now use a razor instead of a comb each morning.

We got our first fall of snow over here today: gigantic flakes, and quite heavy, but it didnt settle. Frost and ice are forecast for this evening.

We had 12 inches of wet sloppy snow in mid -October; which was unusual; even for Saskatchewan. It melted after a few days. Currently, we have nights going down to about 25. During the day it will go anywhere from 40 to 55 or so. Tomorrow is supposed to be 60.
