I really didnt want to bring that up ....but the question was asked...and for those who live near a beach, if it ever happens to you, its good info to know.
So if your swimming on the beach, the number 1 rule is ....drink lots of beer....(just in case)

Funny you should say that Paulie, but I know some people who actually put salt in their beer before they drink it.....

Salt makes things taste better by making them less bitter. I think I'm interested enough to try this.... once!

i completly understand that. but salt water straight from the ocean would more than likely have a negative effect on the taste of beer. ha ha ha

First off, I figured we would have someone get a pic of Timmayyy in a man diaper!!
Also, the pee thing is kinda a last resort if you do not have vinegar for the jellyfish. Best thing to do is keep a small bottle of vinegar in your beach stuff, if you are stung what you want to do is when you get at the edge of the water, grab sand and use it to exfoliate the area, thus removing the tentacles you cannot see and then wash with the vinegar.
And as pburke stated, iodized salt is totally different that ocean salt water. Plus, guess how many people pee in that water.....

well........ where are the captions... LOL
And champ...#1..I was in Haiti, there is no available vinegar. #2, if you notice in the ocean side pictures, ther is no sand. Its all flat rock. So I guess I was practicing the last resort procedure.

Yo bro, was just passing some useful info on to the readers... Jellyfish stings can be pretty bad. FYI- I tossed my kid out of the water at the beach one time and he landed right on one... he practically ran on the water screaming. He was a little fellow then, so I swam quickly to him and grabbed him, which cause the jellyfish to wrap my arm and neck, but I got him to the shore, rubbed his legs with the sand and gave him the vinegar treatment. It was after this that my arm started to swell and neck was on fire, that I realized how bad I got it. Was really glad the lifeguard had some more vinegar

Now, back to deciding the right caption for your pics
