So last week I got a haircut, #2 on the sides and cut short on top. I was going to buzz it a #2 all over today but went ahead and did a #1.
My wife says I pull it off and it looks good, but she prefers me with more hair.
So close to sly...

i think it would look cool. but it don't look bad now. you could easily grow it back to that in a few days. i would say go for it. and then hope mama don't hit you with nothin. ha ha

Hey, Slyhigh, I think you would look better if you just did the deed and went all the way. It looks good now and most guys that look good with short hair even look better bald. Try to convince the wife to let you do it and if she doesn't like it after 30 days you'll grow it back....I betcha she will end up loving it and you'll end up keeping it !!

until you shave your head completely smooth you WONT be satisfied...trust me (us)..

Looks good bro. I agree with the other guys, give slick a try. Do it on a Friday, it will be close to your current cut by Monday. IF u decide to grow it out!

Agree with all above. Try it and see. Your hair is dark like mine, so it appears to grow back faster than it really does. Won't be stretch at this point.

Looks good man... but like Andre said, you have it in your head, and the only ready to remedy the situation is go grab that blade. Slick, or how you have it right now, will both look good on you. Good luck!

Great look! ... but from your post I feel you wish to go all the way smooth, don't you?? 
give it a try and if you don't like it you will be back at the present lenght in few days!

hey christopher: the buzz look suits ya but i think that U need 2 go all the way & shave the dome smooooth. in baseball terms: u have hit a triple with the buzz cut. U R only a quality razor shave from a home run. besides chicks dig the long ball. i'm sure your wifey will, also.

Hey dude,
The #1 cut looks really good; love the 'burns. If you're curious to go all the way, you should try it. Judging by the way you look now, I think you'd look pretty awesome with a slick dome. Whatever you decide, do what makes YOU happy. Take care.

i'll be honest,
i think you look a lot better with your hair short (even if there isn't much difference in the 2 pictures you've posted). therefore, i'd say you being bald will most definitely look good. keep trimming it shorter, and go for it! -

My wife's only complaint was that her 10 year high school reunion is this weekend, and since she likes my look better with hair, she wishes I would have waited to buzz it. She said this weekend I'll look like a cotton ball with "fuzzies" growing out. OK, so I'll just buzz it again.
My original plan was to gradually buzz it down over a couple of weeks before I shave. Waiting is the hard part. I figured buzzing it short would let me scalp get some tan (went to the lake this weekend and also painted a house so I think it has color now) and let people warm up to the idea without going all the way at once.
Maybe I'll do a no guard buzz tonight. My only concern is it will be very drastic, but as others have mentioned, it will grow out fast.
No negative reactions to the current buzz. People either didn't mention it or were postive or neutral. I'm surprised that I didn't get many comments. Maybe I'll get more at work today.
