This post has been up awhile but I'll go ahead and put my two cents in.
You will be bad ass.
I know what you are going through. A young man who feels like his youth is over because of MPG, the girls, the fun, you think it's all over and now you will turn into an old man. You won't.
I just turned 26 when I finally took the plunge, it took some getting used to, but now I can't imagine doing anything but going sly.
Buzz it first to get used to it, then after you're comfortable with that shave it (or keep buzzing it if you like that, whatever).
Inform us when you do.

Go for it,,, if it's not for you grow it back. I shaved a full head of hair just to do it,, loving it. My problem is my hair grows so damn fast I HAVE to shave everyday. I get the Tough guy comment all the time,, I guess being 6'4" and 260, with the "goatmancho" I was asking for it, but at 43,, that is out of my blood 20 years ago.

if I ever tried to be "bad ass," my friends and loved ones would call me out on it. And rightfully so. Its just not who I am, Sly or not.
Last night one of my friends saw my Sly look for the first time. She said, and I quote, that I looked "bad ass." So I guess even though I don't think I'm bad ass, the Sly look can definitely make others think I am, even my friends. I'd like to hear someone with a combover say that about their hair! -
