Welcome to SBG swordfish.
The shaving just hgets easier and easier.
I personally use a Panasonic Vortex and shave in the shower. I've got it down to a science these days. Only takes a few minutes to get a smooth clean noggin. Basically as I shave I go behind the shaver with my hand, once it feels like a babies bottom all over. I'm done!! (Not that I go around feeling babies bottoms, but you know what I mean)

WOW.
I just found this forum and topic. It's what I've been looking for for a long time.
I am 43 years old and started the balding with receding hairline....and it has gotten worse in the last 10 years. About the same time came the seborrheic dermatitis in 2-3 patches. I've been through every remedy, shampoo, etc....from mild to strong with no relief. The only thing that has come close is coconut oil for an hour every 3-4 days.
I have been so frustrated that I have almost shaved my head several times, just to get rid of the **%#*$* flaking. Now, reading all of your posts, I have really felt secure enough to finally go all the way and do it. (And not give a flip what other people think). I will post a pic as soon as I get a chance. Hopefully this topic will be read since it's so old.
Thanks for the moral support guys.
(UPDATED 07-22-10: The profile pic is after getting most of it off. Leaving a tiny bit to sun for a few days, then I will hit it with the headblade.)

Welcome here, Bill!
Glad you found this great forum.
Yes, shave your head and enjoy this new feeling. Seborrhoic dermatitis will heal - there are some threads about this topic - your skin will be like a baby's butt

.
Best wishes.

Thanks guys....
I am going today to get it cut down really close, and allow my scalp to get some sun for a few days while I read up on the instructions....then OFF I GO!

I will post before and after pics soon. Hope everybody has a great day. Looking forward to the baby's butt smoothness LOL.

Back in 2003 when I had my first proper head shave I was fighting a lot of feelings and reasons for why I shouldn't get my head shaved - in the end I just submitted to my barbers advice and allowed him to shave my head smooth - haven't really went back to having hair since, so I guess what I'm saying is there were no real "buts" for not having my headshaved.
