I shaved my head when I had been at my current job for a little less than a year. People still poke fun at me sometimes, but that's alright, without hair it just rolls right off the melon....hehehehehehehe
Laughing at yourself is always the best medicine. At my church since i've shaved my head grown out the beard(and dyed it darker) i've been called terrorist as a joke, and two weeks ago a good friend of mine called me a muslim extremist. So last week when I saw him after youth group I go muslim extremist here reporting for duty. -

Lieber Christian! I'd shave it. I am an academic (professor of Englsh at a local college). No group of professionals is more conservative--when it comes to appearance (not politics!)-- than the faculty. I sweated their reactions too but found that the bald look was immediately accepted. I also feared my students' reaction, which proved positive. Most of the people at your new position don't really know you; you can make any statement you want, but don't wait until they categorize you. As several guys on the site have noted, it's our oldest relatives and acquaintances who have the hardest time with the change. Hamburg is as cosmopolitan as NYC; no one will have a problem with your new look and you'll be true to your own aesthetic. Let us know what you decide. Wiedersehen, Professor Melon

I've been trying to get my boss to shave his for quite a while now. Yesterday he took it down to a #2 guard. I asked him if he was giving his wife time to get used to the idea, he replied not only that, but being in management it would be a rather drastic change. (I've been here for three years almost, and him about a year and a half)

For the first time I used the HeadBlade ... it was a good feeling but I had to use my normal razor for some special areas around the head. But I will post about HeadBlade in the thread for it later!
It feels so great and I am so glad I did it!
Only thing I am concerned abou now is how ppl at work will react on monday.

For the first time I used the HeadBlade ... it was a good feeling but I had to use my normal razor for some special areas around the head. But I will post about HeadBlade in the thread for it later!
It feels so great and I am so glad I did it!

Dude shave it.... Sly is the new combover... and in a suit a bald man looks sly. I work in a building with over 500 people and all the managers know me by name even the ones that don't have anything to do with me. I'm one of maybe 5 bald dudes, and i would say i have the personality to claim Sly... the other guys are really off the wall.
