Hey everybody, i was reading through the forums today and decided to join, my hairline has started to recede at an alarming rate and i hate it! Just wondering what anyone else who had self esteem issues with going bald did? The thing is i reckon everyone on this looks fine, but im 21 and look really young for my age, coupled this with a balding head and i think it looks stupid :/

Eddie, welcome, you came to the right place.
Balding at a young age, I've struggled with plenty of self esteem issues, and it can be tough - but being a part of a place like this puts everything in perspective. Hang around here, and I'm sure you will see a lot of people that have gone through the same experiences as you, and have come out just fine. It may seem cultish when everybody tells you, shave your head! But it's an exciting thing that changes things up, and you'll be surprised by your boost in confidence.
As far as being bald and young, many people are doing it, and it's not a huge deal. It may throw some people off, but let's face it, if a young, bald head confuses and surprises someone, they need that variety in their boring life. -

eddieb, welcome to the site! We're here to help. Many of us started losing our hair in our early twenties and decided to just shave it. So, I'm sure you'll find guys here with a similar story as yours. As for me, I wish I would have shaved it when I was 21 as I'm sure I would have had an even easier time getting the chicks.

Just wondering what anyone else who had self esteem issues with going bald did?
I wore a rug for years. Worst decision ever.
I worried more about my head wearing that gross piece-o-doo-doo then ever and I gave up a lot.
No more riding roller coasters, no more being pulled behind a boat in an inter-tube, hell no more swimming in the ocean. Its sucked and it went on for years.
Greatest thing I ever did was go sly.
