That is quite a nice looking beard. Ever thought of growing it long with your sly dome? I have often wanted to do that myself but then end up trimming it down. But I think for some, the long beard and the shaved head looks cool.
I might try it! I have grown the beard out a bit more in the past, but I wasn't sly back then:
WOW J.J.!!!!!
What an improvement going sly made!
You look better and younger!

j Dig; I think you look great with the chin goat and no stache. I know what you mean by seeing your father in the mirror; I have the same thing; esp. when I'm clean shaven (which has only been twice before in my life) . It's kind of freaky ! I've been thinking of shaving my beard too; so your thread is giving me some food for thought.
As the guys have said, it's fun to play around with the facial hair esp. once you're commited to being sly (not much variation there! ) I've been trimming mine back pretty short, lowering it , so that the area around the ears is pretty clean; but haven't done a "goatee" yet. Maybe that's coming before I try a full face shave . ...
JJ -- really interesting transformation ; you look a LOT different in your pre-sly pic. I think you look pretty good there, with the full beard esp; but with your hairline, I can see why you went sly. Big improvement !
Now; should I have mine or not ? .....

That beard was pretty outta hand, but it was fun to grow. I'm not sure how long I'll grow out the current beard, but it's filling in nicely.

Cool, Scott! It's a great way to change things up. Although sometimes my choice of facial hair morphing gets a big thumbs down from everyone....like when I shaved down to a solo stache...lol.

I've never had a solo stache - I alternate btw a beard and a goat, with an occasional btm goat or soul patch.

That's cool JJ - never thought to document all my "changes." Might have to give that a try sometime just for comparison.
