Drunken craziness...
« on: July 19, 2008, 05:22:25 PM »
So my kids have gone on hols with their Dad and I've been acting (possibly stupidly but who cares!  ;)) trampolining while under the influence.. which leads me to my next question...

what's the craziest thing you've ever done while sozzled??

I was once NAKED in a jacuzzi with a chick.  We put bubble bath in the thing for a REAL party.

Anyway, ordered pizza and when the pizza guy came to the front gate, we went to pick it up, covered only in bubbles  :*))

I went skiing, but I had too many for me to realize that I should stick to the bunny hill.  That didn't end well.

I have done many many crazy and dumb things while drunk. I think one of the worst ones was when we were camping and I stumbled into the woods to go to the bathroom and ended up falling asleep right there in the middle of the woods.
I have also tried riding a horse while drunk which wasnt too fun, I ended up falling off a few minutes after I got on.

Well..too many to count...but let me be the one to give this public service announcement...Please don't drink and drive...I got a DUI in 2006 and it is very expensive..more importantly than that I was very fortunate to not have killed anyone. There has been a rash of alcohol related driving deaths in our area over the last couple of years. Like most people I told myself the big lie for years "that will never happen to me". The reality is it is not a matter of IF it will happen..just a matter of when. Unfortuanatley alot of people might not be as blessed as I was to not loose my life or kill someone. I later came to realize that drinking and driving is one of the most selfish acts someone can commit.

So if you do drink...its ok..I still do but take the appropriate measures and have a designated driver or just stay home.

By the way..one other thought...and maybe this will deter some of you from drinking and driving...when I make my last  SR22 payment in 2009 (special insurance we have to have in South Carolina for DUI) one night of "free drinks at a business meeting" will have cost me over $13,000.00 between lawyer fees, fines, bail, licensing and insurance.  Do YOU have $13,000.00 to throw away?

Hey Robmeister..Thanks man...I know what you mean. I asked myself that same question initially but then after going through our state mandated classes I realized alcoholism is the main culprit. People have to want to change and become responsible for their actions. The words "I can handle it" is the biggest lie anyone will ever tell themself about alcohol. For me a two drink minimum is the key, even at home. If I am out somewhere, dinner etc., I will not get behind the wheel even with one drink in me. I usually abstain or my wife drives.

I don't remember...
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Oh goodness, where to start!

The most recent we were on a camping trip, just the guys.  We had 120 cans of beer for 3 guys and 2 nights.  I know, I know.  Anyway, we were in a GA State Park so it's not like we were boondocking or anything.   After dark we started "answering the call" on the edge of the campsite instead of going in the rv or the bath house. (50 yards away)

Started playing truth or dare.  Would up taking turns streaking up and down the road that runs through the campground.  Was fun actually.  Didn't get caught by the ranger or the camp host.  So I guess that ended up OK.

We do NOT drive after drinking, but we do streak!  lol

Another time I went swimming.  I don't recommend it.  Being underwater can be disorientating enough sober.
