Saw the chic flic with my wife.
I must say it was worth the price of admission.....
just to see Meryl Streep in her overalls jump into a lake.
Mamma Meryl!

I'm man enough to admit that in addition to Metallica, Disturbed, Scorpions, Aerosmith, Al Dimeola, Pat Martino, Stanley Jordan, Mozart, Ravelle, Beethoven and Trans Siberian Orchestra...
I like ABBA quite a bit.....even Barry Manilow.....brings back pleasant memories of the '70's before I got all corrupted and debauched.

Ok Brother I will add some more obscure names in there like Maynard Ferguson, Chic Corea, Jeff Thorber, Stanley Clark and The Racontours.

Definetly brings back memories.

But but but... it's a chic flick!

That's worse than watching some nut job who thinks he's Batman run around in spandex!

Robmeister,
You are right, real men are secure in the fondness for ABBA! Besides, back in the day, the women in ABBA were actually pretty fine looking!

A group of us are goin to see it this coming Thursday.

I must admit I grew up listening to ABBA : I'm a definite fan, right from the age of about 7 when I first heard 'Mama mia' and 'Money money money', I've been a fan.
From the movie reviews over here in England its definitely NOT 'just a chick flick' - there's something for everyone, even if it IS a bit cheesy.

went to see Mama mia last night: what a great, funny, feel-good movie, and quite touching too. Really enjoyed it. the cinema was full, and we had to wait for the later showing. It was being shown three times in two different screens, but all were full. That's how good this film is.

If you havent seen it, go and see it NOW!!

I'll pass.
If the Lovely Mrs. Schro wants to see it, she can take my daughter.
Their music was good, but I have no desire to see that movie.

What about her very first efffort? She was powerful in that film.
And so was everyone else involved in that epic work.

Mama Mia was the worst broadway play that I've ever seen. I couldn't imagine torturing myself with the movie.
