So I'm expecting a new washer and dryer that will be delivered tomorrow (what does it say when someone gets all excited about a new washer and dryer?) Really nice front-loaders...
But, that meant doing some prep work this weekend. So yesterday, I moved the old machines out from the wall, and went behind them in order to clean up the dust (it's amazing how much had built up in back there -- disgusting) and to replace some of the carpet tiles that cover the floor and had become loose (due to a water heater incident a few years back).
Then I get up.
Right into a fluorescent light fixture affixed to the bottom of the set of cabinets on the wall over the machines.
Ouch.
Supernovas, not stars.
So today I look like a runner-up in the Gorbachev look-alike contest.

Hopefully, this will heal with no scarring
All expressions of sympathy will be gladly accepted.
(P.S. Apologies for the unshaven appearance. No shaving 'til this heals I'm afraid. I was already overdue for a cleanup when this happened.)
Now I see why you were in such a foul mood with your posts

Just kidding. I know that hurt. Get better soon, then shave properly.

Red
It says you don't get out much BB

seriously though, aaaaw, bless!

(c'mon guys, the man needs some sympathy!)
but looking on the bright side (and I'm not talking about the light
ya bumped ya noggin on) at least if you get invited to a fancy dress party you know who you can go as
OMG!
Now that looks like it hurt a little

Hang in there... should heal just fine, never soon enough though!
Here's wishing you speedy healing
And how many expletive deleteds were involved there.?
Fortunately the head is very resilient; just don't rush it. My sympathies are with you in your time of pain and scruffyness.
I'm sure you'll heal up fine, man. It sounds like it hurt pretty bad, but the wound is just a flesh wound. You'll recover. Just hang in there till then.
Ouch ... I just had one like that healed. I've got to tan it ... a white spot on a tan head looks odd.
Holy S!$T BB!!!

Had one of those about 2 weekd ago.

Slammed my bare skull into a low hanging 2X4 in our shed. Knoked myself out and chipped a tooth in the process!

Cussed a blue streak when I came to!
Ice and aloe helped me out.
I've had a few injuries like that and know it's no laughing matter. When I do thinks like that, I usually just shave around the wound, and then go lightly over the wounded area with an electric razor. After the first day or two it can usually tolerate the electric touching it. It beats having to sport stubble until the area heals.
b-bear: ouch! clean it daily with some warm soap & water, pat dry, & apply neosporin. hope U have a quick recovery.
WARHAWK
That doesn't look like it feels good.
I did a similar thing two weeks ago, I was tearing the siding off of a shed and a board fell on my head and a nail got my ear.

You're very accident-prone, aren't you?
Dang BB!
Hope that heals quickly for you!
I think xnewyawka said that when you shave your head, you lose the feelers that warn you when you are too close to things. I believe him!!
