I've been working on this sweater for a few weeks now. On the road I only get a few minutes here and a few minutes there to work on it while waiting for a meal or sitting in a pub having a couple of cold ones. It's coming along.

Sh!t!!! That's even more impressive if you're just making it up as you go along. What artistic vision you have.

Nah, if I follow someone else's pattern and screw it up it looks bad, if I just make it up and it turns out wrong I can just say I meant for it to look that way LOL

Thats looking great Trucker. Where I live it really does not get cold enough for extended periods for sweaters. Wish it did cause I really like them.

Process of elimination really. I wanted to find some sort of creative outlet that was portable enough to carry anywhere and that I could do in my truck, truck stops, or wherever I found myself (like pubs).
Part of the reason I chose knitting was the price of good wool socks. I wear them in the Winter because I am out in all sorts of weather chaining and strapping down loads and they cost an arm and a leg. Now I can make my own, better wool socks for a fraction of what they cost to purchase.
The fact that it attracts women is a definite fringe benefit
