  What a shame. Tough guy though to win the Open in a playoff enduring that kind of pain.

• PGA TV ratings are going to drop like a rock.  At least the rest of the pro's can look at this as an opportunity to win some tournaments and cash in.

• I have followed golf for years. He is amazing. But I expected him to win at Torrey Pines, bad knee and all because he had won there 5-6 times in the past. With the FedEx points awarded at the end of 08, Phil MIckelson will win that because of Tiger's absence. In my opinion, Woods just gave Mickelson a $5 million present.

• I hope those 91 holes at the Open were worth it in the long run.
