I have been the proud wearer of a moustache for many a year and love to behold a well groomed and magnificent handlebar. Here is a question and request:Ho adventurous have you been in the facial hair department and please show off some photos of pre-sly and post-sly days with said facial furniture!
Here are a few before and after pics:
1st up--My favourite pic

Then a dress up for the Whiskerclub beard and moustache competition:

Here is one from last year after my first shave:

A Victorian style wax job:

I would say this is a favourite as well.I hope to have the stache back to that form in 2 months.

Anyone else wish to share???
Jim

Good job in getting rid of the dome hair, handlebar. That photo of you in the bowler looks like Hercule Poirot.

Jim, you know I've said this many times before - but your moustache has always been one of my favorites.
Six month beard from last year.

My first time sly about three years ago.

A few years ago - massive tailback goatee

Ye olde handlebar - about three four years ago

No, I am not Amish...

My wife's favorite of me...

I've come to deliver you from from male pattern baldness...

Bringing facial hair back to the 80's...the 1880's

My worst look ever...

And my current look in my avatar - but I am letting that goatee grow to terminal length and letting the moustache grow into a huge handlebar

Regards,
Matthew

I don't have any historical photos handy -- I'll see if I can dig some up. Current look is in avatar.
Have had everything from just the stach to a full beard, but haven;t been clean-shaven since Basic training in 1977.

I can't come close to you guys. Here is a blast from my past. Late 70's if I remember right, it is a little foggy....

Matthew, just noticing in the most recent pics your earrings are missing. Is that a personal choice or a work thing. Just always wonder about that in the workplace, as I can get a way with it on my jobs. (I'm a consultant)

It was a work thing at my last place of employment - the holes are probably closed up now...

Nah! I had mine out for many years but went back with 14 ga. CB Hoops. It hurt a little having them put back in, but it was
a good pain!
I'm going down to my local piercing emporium soon and have them stretched to 10 ga.

Goin' through some old files I found me longest goat...never showed up here on the forum..
That's during the time I would get Scott Ian from Anthrax a lot!

Nice BA.
Here is a couple of pics. I've pretty much worn a goatee since I got out of the military.
A few years back when I was selling Real Estate in FLA. No stash.

Most recent photo.

Matthew, Handlebar, you guys have the best facial hair. I wish I would grow mine out like that but I always end up trimming it back down.

Well, thanks fr8train!
yea...the length of the goat was cool...but the texture...awful! man...friggin' too course and crazy...
and grey (and the pic was before it turned BAD), for my blood

Mr. Clean suits me just fine now!

...BTW I always vote for the no stash goat...always a bit more "hipster" for me!

BA, Scott Ian was the first thing I thought of when seeing that pic....lol
You can pull off damn near any look I think
Handlebar, my uncle had one very similar to yours many years ago. He was acting in a play about Billy The Kid. He wants to grow it out again.
Matthew, do people that haven't seen you in a while have trouble recognizing you? WOW! You're definitely a man of many faces.
Train, personally I think your current look suits you quite well.

Thanks PP!
I dug the look and most times when it got that long it just kind of crept up on me...instantly longgoat! I dig the Scott Ian vibe...so that made it cool too!
BTW Fr8train...both goats work for ya!

Thanks PP, BA. It's getting gray quick though.

But then again I AM an old GOAT.
