How to put a picture in the avatar - page 1 -

• Hey guys,
  
  I'm a newbie and not very savy with the computer stuff.
  
  I have my pictures in photobucket, but I can't figure out how to put the pic in my avatar.

• At the top of the screen there's a menu. Click on "Profile". 
  
  You'll be take to your profile. 
  
  Then click on "Forum Profile Information" on the left side of the screen. 
  
  When you get into that screen, you'll see a radio button that says "I have my own pic" with a text box next to it. 
  
  Paste the link from Photobucket in this text box. 
  
  Scroll down and click save.

• I put one of you pics in there, so if you want to change it, just paste a new link in there.

• www.photobucket.com  it is where you can up load your pics and it will size them to teh required format to post them in here and on other webistes.

• Hey guys, glad I'm not the only one to experience problems getting a photo on here.  I pasted a link and all I get is an empty box with a little red "x".  Tried uploading a pic from my PC and get the same "x".  Am I doing something wrong or is this just a setting that needs to be changed?

• It has to be a direct link to the image file not to a facebook page like it is now.
  
  Uploading the original jpg file should work though.
  Nice pic btw.
