Headlube glossy or matte? Does it really matter?

I am curious about purchasing Headlube. I have yet to locate it locally so I am considering ordering from Headblade.com directly. But I am torn between Glossy or Matte...I do enjoy that fresh smooth shined up look at times, but is glossy really going to make the dome shine or is matte the way to go? Does it really matter. I am slowly turning into a full on headblader for all products.......anyone out there use either or both? What's your take?

Mine is naturally shiny too. Lucky me! One less thing to buy.

Gotta agree with Nick. When I first started shaving my dome, I was purely a Headblade guy (Headblade Classic Razor, Headslick Shave Cream, and HeadLube Matte). Love the Classic (even though I also have a Sport Model), Headslick is great, but I do not like the Headlube. I usually use L'Oreal SPF 15 Comfort Max Balm if I'm going to be in the sun (still put sunscreen on later). I've also taken to using Walgreens house brand Aloe Vera After Sun Body Lotion as a moisturizer. It's awesome!!!!! Not greasy at all, goes on smooth, and very reasonably priced.

Also darknight, you will be amazed how the cold water rinse will bring out the shine too!
If there is one thing I have learned to hate is a greasy, oily, wet looking head. Thats why I always carry wipes on me. Usually Bald Guyz wipes or regular Anti-bacterial Wet Ones.

I agree with all the others. I've never had to purchase anything to get a 'shine'. The aloe vera and bald guyz moisture gel will both add shine; as well as the cold water rinse. But if you really want to try out the Headlube, most Walgreens carry it.

Yup... I love the shine but HeadLube is greasy like Nick912 said... Bald Guyz Gel is way better!

Not really, it's just a matter of what you prefer. Some guys like all shine all the time, and some go for the more toned down matte look.
I usually will go for how I feel on a particular day, and often alternate with both the Headlubes and Bald Guyz Moisture gel.

Never used anything to shine my dome because I've got the naturally oily thang, but I received a free sample of Headlube last week, so I tried it. I actually like the glossy.

Well now, I have to disagree! I use Headblade Matt and Glossy. I love it! I think it makes the shave last longer. I sware when I put a dab of headblade on my hair grows slower!

I'm with SCHRO on this one. Love the HeadBlade and HeadSlick but I do not like the HeadLube. Seems greasy to me.
I have a nearly full jar of the matte that I will send free of charge to the first guy that PMs me their mailing address. I only used it a couple of times so it's about full.
