My head is smooooooth! Well, almost. More like bristly if that's a word. The barber took off the bulk of what was left. I hit the shower with a Headblade in hand. Worked well but my head wasn't real smooth. I was using the blade it came with...maybe I was overcautious and let the blade ride too high. I wasn't happy with the stubble so I did another pass with a Fusion. Everything was fine until I held my head under cold water after I was done...wow, that wasn't alot of fun. Guessing my skin will toughen up in time. Lots to learn to catch up with the lot of you when it comes to smooth. Digging the new look.
Thanks to everyone for all the advice and helping through a rough spot. I can honestly say that I didn't miss spending 20 minutes on a comb over, then riding to work only to have helmet head.
Only one question...what does the term 'sly' actually mean??? I tried to search but came up with way too many hits.
Congrats Sparky! Post up a photo for us to check out your new look!
Dude.... If you have to ask what SLY means, you haven't hit full SLY mode yet! Hang in there,... you'll get it!
Sparky!! best compliments!!

Am glad to hear you went for it and you like the new look...
sure you appreciate how great it is not having to comb/blow dry anymore.
As for the stingint under cold water... maybe it's better you stick with the
fusione until the scalp get used to the shave: as I've already told you the
fusion is the safer, less irritation and almost impossible to nick yourself!
Now put a pic of the new you on the avatar!

How do you feel about your hairloss now that you shaved?? you feel
better??

Congrats Sparky. Regarding your question, take a look at zetaeffe's pic. He is seriously SLY!
As one of the newer sly guys I can tell you that it will take some time to get the shaving technique down. The idea is that when you are finished your head feels smooth as a baby's bottom all over. Eventually you'll learn how to shave your whole head without missing any areas and leaving a stubbly feeling. Be patient and keep at it.
Congrats! As far as the sting, I think for a first timer, you made too many passes. For the first few weeks, I'd live with the stubble. Once your head toughens up, you can make those additional passes to completely clean it up.
I think the word SLY means kind of different things to different dudes...
but the underlining theme is with a slick bald head comes a confidence know one will ever experience until they are completely bald themselves...
it's a confident attitude (and an awesome look) bro!
