Instead of the classic great days turning bad because of a phone call I just had a bad day turn good.
To start with my wife went to a friends house on the coast for the weekend for their girls weekend and left me in charge of the house, kids, and critters. Well this weekend has been crazy, its been pouring rain co I couldnt finish the pasture and I coulnt build a couple sheds like I was planning. The kids have been crazy, always complaining about something or arguing, then having to do all the critters myself this weekend has been bad. Well last night there was a big thunder storm and the out door dog got spooked so he broke the skirting around the house (its a double wide trailer) and was messing around down there, he broke through and was messing with the birds. I had the other 3 dogs inside last night and they ran out of water and dragged the bowl all over the floor, then they got into the weird shaped eggs and ate them, then the cockatoo was screaming all night, the cat was attacking my feet. Then this morning a lady called that got some chicks last week and wants more, I told her I dont think we will have enough but she said she was 30, no less. I had to explain to her that we only have one breed that we can tell the gender of at hatcing so the others will be some males, so now she wants more because she will eat the males. She also wants them shipped out tomorrow which I am not sure if I can do it or not. I didnt have time to go to church so I felt bad about it.
My wife called and as I was talking to her someone tried to beep in a few times but I figured I will see who it was on caller ID and call back later. When I got done with my wife I called the person back and it was the lady from the hardware store. I had turned in an application there back in March and called a few days later to see if they were hiring, the guy said they send it to their national office and they call people back if they are good enough or something like that so I gave up hope on that. I had been looking for a second job for a few months because my job at the feed store isnt making enough to support the family, the hatchery, and the other critters. I had turned in other apps and nothing happened so I took up a job at a friends dairy, I am working there while they are on vacation for 2 weeks. I am milking about 40 goats which can be crazy. Back to the hardware store, I called the number back and it was the manager and she said "Is Michael in?" I said this is him and she said "Hi Michael, I am the manager at the harware store and you had turned in an application a few months ago and we have a few positions available and I was wondering if you were still interested" I said I was and now I have an interview Tuesday at 11. I am going to have to leave work early anyway to pick up the kids from school, its their last day.
So that is how my bad day turned good, has anyone else had a bad day go good?

Great story Mike!
I have had bad days turn good. Lately it's when I have a bad day at work and come home to find my daughter to be in a playful mood and happy to see her daddy.
Yeah, it seems that the kids can always make it better. Like tonight when I made pizza for dinner and over cooked it my oldest said "this isnt as good as when mamma cooks it but you did your best", it makes me wonder how he knows to say things like that when he is so young.
