A pretty good buy, I have it for my wife and youngest daughter, the older one bought it on her own once she started making some money & bought a house. The tire repair is handy for the girls, but the part I like is the "Trip Tics" for road travel, together w/ the book on motels/hotels. Those make road travel pretty easy--particularly since I can't figure out how to make the damn electronic gps locator work--talk about money down the drain. The instructions could be in Ancient Hittite for all they tell me about making the thing work.

Mel, I have been a member since about '86. It seems to be a pretty good deal, especially in relation to other auto clubs. Plus I think AAA is the best. Use it once a year and you've paid for your membership. I've had them come to unlock my car (with keys locked inside) and also I had them come to my house to change a tire. The tow service is what will really save you money and alot of hotels, restaurants, and car rentals offer AAA discounts.
I think it's worth it.

My wife and I have been members since the late 80's and it has always been a good thing for us. It was real handy when we were both driving old cars that would have mechanical problems now and then.
I have used the roadside assistance many times when I have been riding with others that have locked their keys in their car or a battery dies.
They have good deals on hotels and stuff too.
We stop by AAA if we are going on a trip and they provide a tour book, maps and other types of info for free.

We have been members for a while now. It has saved me quite a bit in towing, that's for sure.
