My dad is the only male in my immediate fam. He was BBC for 20 years. When he tried to grow his hair back in his 50's it was gone! He had a full head of hair in his late 20's and now he is bald! It is weird too, all his brothers have full thick hair. Now he shaves it again.
On a side note. It scares me to wathc my old man shave his head. He uses regular yellow handle bics, doesnt use shave cream just soap. And he starts with an against the grain all over. He has no irriation whatsoever. His head looks champion! I asked him how he gets away with that. He said cuz he has done it for 30yrs its tough. WOW!

That right there is funny. It reminds me of a story my wife told me once. When she was younger...like 8 or so ...her younger sister got this new purse from a yardsale. They were in a grocery store and she was showing off her purse. Some man asked her what she had in that purdy purse...Koleen looked up and said well Sir...I've got Personality! LOL
Now to answer the question. My dad has thining hair. Sorta bald on top...not the horseshoe look but he wears caps all the time and just bald in the crown area and its growing larger. He wont ever shave his head. Actually, I dont even know if my dad even likes my bald head, he has never made any comments...other than to my mom and he told her..well its his head..he can do waht he wants. Now my brother on the other hand.....do we really have to go there? Well he shaved his down with no guard on the trimmers. I can tell he wants to shave it bald...but then again if he does..then he will sorta be like me and he cant have that because he is better than me. Anyways..I have a brother in law who has been slick for about 3 years now. He looks better bald...he use to have bright red hair and wavy. He looked like a carrot top....so thats about it within my family.

My dad has the horseshoe..... my brother thinks he still has full thick hair. He spikes it up and it's starting to look like rows of corn it's so thin.
My father-in-law is thinning and my brother in law has thick full hair but man is it ugly.

I have two older brothers. My oldest brother has the thickest hair ever, and the other has MPB like me.

Everyone but me. My both my grandfathers, rest their souls, had full heads of hair when they passed. The one thing I have that very few other in my family do though is my thick beard. My older brother at 29 still can't grow a full proper beard, but I've had one since I was 15 and am a twice a day shaved when I don't.

both my dad and uncle have MPB. My uncle buzzed his down to a 0 for many years but never went slick bald. My dad has sported the M widows peak and I've been trying to convince him to shave slick bald but he wont do it either.
