anther good topic warhawk.
i like my seafood battered and fried. ha ha as far as others, wow, i really don't know. i will try almost anything once but usually if it is prepaed correctly, i will try it again. as a kid i ate frog-legs, but i can't stomach them now. ramen noodles are that way too. i may have to give this one some thought and find others.

I'm not a picky eater. Liver (and other organs in general), eggplant and Brussels sprouts are the only foods I can think of that I actively dislike.
And I love sushi.

I'm not a picky eater at all BUT.... the one vegetable that I do not like is beets........... taste like red dirt to me. I love all other veggies
And much like Booted Bear I don't eat organs........
I have two mottos when it come to eating:
1) If you can put it on a plate and it's not moving too fast I'll probably eat it.
2) If it performed a pumping or walking function while it was alive I won't eat it (translation: no feet or organs).
please keep in mind that one and two sort of go together.

Liver. I don't care if you put bacon & onions on it, it's all about the texture....feels like chalk.
Also, I'm not a big fan of brussel sprouts.
Have to agree on the organ thing. Couldn't see myself eating brains, tripe, or anything else like that. They may be good, but the idea of eating it gives me the heebie jeebies.

Jello. You can dress it up with fruit, whip cream, whatever....I still can't do it.

Aside from "delicacies" such as brains, eyes and other seriously strange things you would not find on your average menu;
Coconut
Avocado
Anything with anise (black licorice flavor)
I used to eat liver when I was a kid but after I found out what it was, it grossed me out.
Other than those, I will pretty much eat anything.

Regretably for my weight control issues, I will eat ANYTHING with the sole exception of poorly prepared or preprocessed and canned food--and that generally means overcooked anything, well done steaks, chops, etc. Steaks in the words of one gourmond, should be passed through a hot kitchen by a slow butler. If the steak is then topped w/ bearnaise sauce or blue cheese--so much the better. If there's a great sauce on food, and it's nicely presented, for your own safety do not get between me and that plate!

I love sushi, raw herring--Dutch style, even that object of disgust lutefisk (a Scandanavian oddity--dry cod cured in of all things lye!). Kidneys, liver, sweetbreads, and brains--when you could get those, tripe, yes, I will eat anything--but again I do insist that it be properly prepared. I also eat the more ordinary fare-hamburgers, Popeye's chicken--spicy, pizza, mac and cheeze--but not the packaged glue and also prefer to stay away from fast food joints, except Popeye's, because the food is rarely properly prepared.

See... that's my problem. I'll eat anything that doesn't try to eat me first!
