Well, after pouring money into my last vehicle (an '04 Buick Rendevouz) I finally decided that it was time to cut my losses and get something new (or at least new to me).

This is a pic of what I got. Nothing too expensive and not real real flashy but I am really liking my new wheels. It's actually an '08 Saturn Aura that I found at a local dealer. It was used and I saved a ton off of the new price. I just love red cars. Last one I had was before I got married and I loved it. However, my wife hated it and we got rid of it shortly after we got married. So it almost feels like I have my old car back. It gets great mileage too, which is a real plus, since I do alot of driving for my job.

Congrats on the new car. I just got a car too an 03 ford focus SVT. I will be selling my motorcycle that I have been riding full time year round in all weather. I will miss but it will be moving either to NJ or RI at the end of the year. Enjoy the new car.

Nice ride KC. I don't know too much when it comes to cars. I'm not picky either. As long as I like the way it looks and feel it will hold up I don't care what make it is. I have been thinking about a Saturn lately. I've heard from a few people that own them say they hold up well, are cheaper than most other makes, and getting them worked on isn't too expensive. Is all this true?

This is my first experience owning a Saturn. I had heard alot of good things about them. Actually in the past couple of years, they have remade their whole line of cars. The Aura was actually the '07 Car of the Year.
I'm not really picky either. I have owned alot of brands and just look for something that I like.

Yeah, I had heard about the "remake" too. I've seen some of their newer models and some look totally different. I've done a few double takes on the road while passing a Saturn lately. Thinking, "That is a Saturn?"

Nice ride KC! You did well by getting rid of the Buick, the Rendezvous was a real problem model. Being a Buick salesman, I was real happy when they replaced it with the Enclave. I have sold quite a few pre-owned Saturns and they really seem to be great cars.

Rick that is an awesome car mate. My grandfather drove a Saturn for near 10 years before he sold he and he never had an ounce of trouble with it.
You ought to put some 22" rims on that ride.

Sweet ride Rick, I've heard a lot of good things about Saturns as well. Never owned one, but I have seen a few with 200K or more on the clock.

Great looking ride Rick. I have a 2003 Saturn L300 and absolutely love it. I've had no problems at all.

Keep us updated on your experience. The new Saturn Vue small SUV is pretty cool looking too, as is the Aura. What kind of mileage are you getting with the Aura, and is it a V-6 or a 4 cylinder?

Rick, congrats! I'll be in the market for a "new" car here pretty soon and the Aura is on the list to look at.

I have the 3.5 V6 and I got just over 30 on the one highway trip and I'm getting a 25.5 on my last tank that included back and forth to work and taking the kids to baseball practice. Not bad. So far it's been a really cool car (Knock on wood.....).
