My wife used to cut my hair with a 0 guard buzz, but was against taking any more off. Thought it would be too radical. After about 10 years, I went for it, and now, she comments if I miss shaving for a couple days.
There was a mental thing, that taking that last 1/16th off was such a big step. But, in reality, there is such a small physical difference that most people don't seem to notice much of a difference.
I waver -- smooth for a while, especially over the summer.
I've even bee known to let some hair grow back once in a while in the winter -- being in Canuckia and all.
Exactly how I did it. And once you go down to a zero guard, when you actually shave your head clean, it'll only take two-three days to get back to a zero guard, in the rare rare rare event that you don't like the complete sly look.
I agree with John. After buzzing at 0 for a while, no one really notices the difference of a tight close shave. But you will! It will feel so great and you will have that edge that being smooth gives you. go for it!
Maduro, I didn't say anything in this thread. How did you know I had a tight buzz for a while before I decided to headshave?
Have you been looking into my crystal ball?

Welcome to the forum Maduro

I really think that if you go completely Sly, you'll really enjoy the freedom that it imparts. Go for it!

I use to use a pair of Wahl clippers with no guard and kept my head peeled down to sandpapaper twice a week before finally lathering up and going against the grain for my first razor headshave.
wtf guys!? with a 0 buzz, your head shape won't change when its bald. If you like how you look with a 0 buzz, you will also like how you will look shaved. You won't get any surprises...
